The first episode presents Camillo, a jazzman that became a Noise Maker, working with the group Stalkernoisers. Camillo invited us to an electronic-coffee in his studio. He organized a musical performance-walk through his house to present his instruments: toys for children, some keyboards including the organ and the piano. During our visit, every noise Camillo made—including pouring the coffee into our cups—became part of his composition.
The second episode is about Roberto, a drummer that has a playing approach to experiment with every kinds of instruments, making some by himself. One year ago, he was in love with the Hang Drum - an instrument patented and made in Swiss- and He tried to build a version with a bottle. Following some explanations on the web, Roberto made 2 drums of different sizes and invited us to assist for the third trial.
The third Portraits is a sound track created with mouth, lips, tongue and voice by Beatconnecta (Marco) - the italian champion of BeatBoxing - and Orange Beat (Mimmo). They use this form to create music as well as to talk, reproducing and imitating every kind of noises can recall an action or an object of the daily life.
Portrait of Noiserz_Hip2Hop made in the studio of the Pa Crew (Dakar, Senegal). They make rap mixing some different influences come from underground and traditional noises, using English, French and Wolof.
Since 1990, Dj Dust (Foggia, Italy) produces Hip Hop music , creating instrumentals for the collective Foggia Street Clan, wherein are different italian crew as Microphones Killarz and Original T’Roonz. In 2009 he founded the group Laica Beats with the italian rapper and beatmaker Bras (Gotaste label) and Nasty. In that period He used recording and composing with noises to create instrumental pieces. In this interview for R22, Dj Dust told the first experience he had like a noiser: “One day, I recorded some noises, one of them was the closing of my door; listening that, I heard a violin, so I started to compose”.
Gargo is an italian Live/Studio Sound Engineer, Producer, Programmer & Sound Designer for Audio/Video and Multimedia App (Max/Msp/Jitter), Liveset Performer. The artist started to produce electronic music, making experimentation with groovebox, sampler and synth, arriving at the electro dance, the sound tracks, and the dubstep.
